ABA History

Overview

The Arab Beverages Association (ABA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 and registered officially in Beirut under the Decree number 861.Its concept is facilitating net working among the Arab beverage sectors including the Arab worlds’ beverages (non- alcoholic) producers and related industries (packaging, machinery, equipment, ingredients, laboratories, information technology providers and other services). Sectors of non-alcoholic beverages include juices, nectars, soft drinks, carbonated drinks, dairy products, energy drinks, healthy drinks, low calorie drinks, non-Alcoholic malt beverages, hot beverages and bottled water.

Vision

Arab Beverages Association will focus its effort on information, networking, training and consulting as well as educational opportunities through the establishment of workshops and annual meetings.


Objectives

The objectives of the association will be the dedication to improve the quality and health of the business and its sustainability. Its main objectives are

  • To protect the interests of the Arab Beverages Industry and to promote its image in view of the rapidly evolving global economic changes.
  • To offer networking platform to facilitate technological innovation economic activity.
  • To work with regulatory authorities for lobbying: informing & advising the beverage industry on all aspects of Arab legislation which affect their business.
  • To create global alliances to provide platforms for information exchange and to promote effective communication and good relations within the group.
  • To serve as an intellectual repository of valuable information such as consumer trends and research in the beverages sector.
